Obstetrician-gynecologists provide many women with comprehensive preventive services. As part of this preventive care, ACOG encourages ob-gyns to become immunization champions. To help ob-gyns provide this crucial health care service, Linda Eckert, MD, member of ACOG’s Immunization Expert Work Group, will provide practical tips and resources for incorporating immunizations into routine practice. Dr. Eckert will also review current vaccination recommendations for Tdap, hep B, flu, zoster and pneumococcal vaccination for pregnant and non-pregnant patients and address common patient concerns and misconceptions. ACOG’s immunization resources, including ACOG’s immunization website Immunizationforwomen.org, clinical guidance and other useful resources will also be presented.

This free webinar is sponsored by ACOG’s Immunization Program and led by Linda Eckert, MD.

Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Address the most common concerns and misconceptions around vaccines
  • Incorporate immunizations into routine practice
  • Identify and locate resources for themselves and for patients regarding immunizations
  • Describe and appropriately provide recommendations for the five discussed adult immunizations
